About Pheo Rose:
Where does a person go when powerful emotions - often ones of pain, ache, hurt, and confusion - swirl and tumble within. Pheo Rose, even as a child, turned to the keyboard. There - as fingers reached intuitively - expression, release, and a deep inner peace were found. The deeply moving and healing music first tended its composer.
As others heard the musical outpouring they came and sat by the piano quietly drinking it in and saying at the end of a piece of music something like, “Please don’t stop; that piece is so soothing I want to stay ‘in it’ more.
A healing music outreach developed simply as one heart reaching for Love through the keyboard and sharing that with others. For decades the music has been shared in prayerful situations, places of people in need; and many times without anyone to hear it, but it lifted up in prayer for all those who suffered.
Beginning in 2007 technology was finally at the quality level for Pheo to record and produce music cds and mp3s. A set of four healing music cds were produced. Each cd addresses a different need, but all the musical pieces draw from decades of outreach to help ease the suffering of others. These cds presently are being for used in children’s wards as well as hospices and assisted living residences for the elderly, as well as in treatment centers for all ages.
From those very early childhood days there was experienced a “ oneness” at the keyboard of body (fingers) , mind (emotions), and soul (stirrings so deep they were not consciously accessible except through the musical outpouring). Starting in high school Pheo began study of what others had to say about such oneness. The study led to decades of undergraduate, graduate, and PhD degrees that gave foundation to understanding the “oneness” and “wholeness” of an individual, and finding those wisdom/spiritual/religious traditions that promoted such integration.
All the great traditions admonished that if someone really wanted to bring others to such oneness of being, then the path itself had to be lived, and then taught from “living words.” This led Pheo to 28 years of living a life of service to others in need, as well as deepening in the spiritual/mystical traditions and their teachings. Pheo realized that music could be used as a “way” also, and a second tract of music has been produced – music that leads a person into deeper mind/soul and “oneness.” The four cds produced thus far are a progression, each one leading the person deeper and more fully into this exquisite “oneness” and wholeness of being.
The two directions of Pheo’s music -- music for healing and music for leading individuals into the deeper levels of mind and oneness – work together. Everyone has inner wounds that deserve healing. Without this healing, the process to wholeness is put on hold. The person may develop great focus and “centeredness,” but the “oneness” can only come with the self compassion of healing those inner wounds. Future music will continue to contribute to both of these two directions.
The four healing cds each have a very different outreach:
Giving Life is intended for those who have been weakened by any number of circumstances, and need their Life Energy boosted. Appropriately, the first piece is “Genesis Dawn;” a new beginning.
Soft Light has a very different outreach. This music is for those who are battling fear, anxiety, worry, and depression from any number of causes that are sometimes doubled up with pressures and other dynamics. This music softly embraces the reality of what is experienced, while providing loving melodies and harmonies to bring deep peace.
Compassion’s Caress has been created especially for those who are directly in the midst anguish, pain, and debilitating illness or loss. This music is meant to be an intimate companion during those times.
Emerging Through the Suffering is a powerful response to those who are looking for “Light at the end of the dark tunnel” in their lives. The core piece is a 24 minute musical journey of faith – a person who, with every good intention, takes on the most difficult challenge before them; but, begin to weaken with self-doubt and lowering self image. A gentle rain begins to fall and the person “hears” God’s Loving voice saying, “Listen to Me Beloved; I Will Be With You.” A Storm of Love begins, and the person feels the Presence and Reality of God. Together, the two take the painful and difficult steps through the darkness. Chimes toll the end of the tunnel, and the person emerges into a new life of freedom from the weight of what had been endured. The album ends with “Totally Yours” the union between the soul and God, who is Love.
INTEGRATING INTO WHOLENESS
The four cds that musically lead one into deeper mind and soul are a progression. By the fourth cd the person is ready to deeply enter their “Inner Universe.”
Soul Bridge is the first cd. Using the program notes the person uses the music to bridge from the scattered, fragmented, and the ever shifting attention span of ego consciousness to being able to hold attention focused, and thus allowing access to deeper levels of mind.
Soul Pulses builds upon the preceding album in two ways. Some of the same pieces of music are used, but they are now two to three times longer -- developing even longer focus and more time in those wonderful deeper realms of mind. The second aspect is to use music to not only focus but re-vitalize. Many think that going deeper into the mind is like a trance. But, far from that – this album leads into deeper mind through increasingly energized musical beats. Learn that deeper mind and soul are vital and energetic as well as still and centered.
Soul Yoga is indeed musical “yoking” of ego consciousness into the deeper mind/soul. Breathing techniques are used as well as focus to open and clear chakras, all while focused in the deeper mind. This is a challenging album, but has beautiful music to just “fall into” when that is needed. This album is especially suited for those who want the benefits of (hatha) yoga, but physically cannot do the postures.
Inner Universe is the album that truly lets you explore the deeper mind/soul. With the developed focus and yoking of ego consciousness with the deeper mind, this album takes the listener into many of the places within one’s inner universe.
